A Sustainable Lifestyle

A Sustainable Lifestyle

What does it mean to live sustainably? To sacrifice for a higher good, take shorter showers, recycle cans? There are of course a number of things you can do for the environment, but did you know that you can enhance your quality of life and comfort, and still be sustainable?

Relaxing on a secluded garden patio surrounded with greenery, scented flowers and butterflies everywhere can be your active way of creating a sustainable lifestyle.

How is this possible? When using well adapted plants tolerant of the given environment, even if the climate is desert, and using grey water irrigation you can actually save fresh water and energy – while enjoying a beautiful garden.

What looks beautiful and serene is in fact highly functional. The fountain next to the seating area contains grey water as well. While enjoying the evaporate cooling you are actually saving fresh water. A reed bed takes care of the coarse water cleaning, so the grey water can be used in the fountain and to irrigate the garden plants.
