Maintenance for Indoor Landscaping

Maintenance for Indoor Landscaping

When planning for energy efficient landscaping, choosing a plant material suitable for its surrounding climate is key. With the right plants on the right garden site the maintenance needs can be kept to a minimum, with the goal of the plants managing on their own as much as possible once established. This is true for both indoor and outdoor landscaping.

Choosing indoor plants for glassed areas can be a challenging task. Lack of natural light combined with high temperatures day and night create an environment that few plants can endure without a great deal of extra maintenance. However, choosing plants from dry and warm areas like desert or dry Mediterranean climate works well, since the plants origin is very similar to the new life under glass.
